15 Jun Post-Pandemic: How to Hold Safe Events In Asia!
News is spreading fast about Asia opening back up for business! Events, trade shows, and exhibitions will be thriving once more, but the question now is what next? Though countries like China, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore are well on their way to recovery before some countries in the West, there will still be health measures in place due to the lingering effects of COVID-19.
So, if you are planning an event in Asia, our team has gathered these five, simple recommendations to ensure the safety of your staff and event participants!
1: Be Mindful of Space and Capacity
Though things are almost back to normal, there is no denying the reality that a few event details have to change, the first being space and capacity. If you would like to have a decent amount of attendees, find a venue that is spacious enough to accommodate people that can stand six-feet apart. If your venues are limited, consider capping the number of attendees you are allowing.
2: Spread it Out
If you are planning to have booths and/or tables, make sure they are spread farther apart than usual, preferably six feet apart! Also, spread out your event timelines as well! Consider scheduling vendors or special guests to come in at different times, preventing too many people running into each other!
3: Designate a Disinfectant Area
Everything is constantly moving during event time, and it’s always hard to keep track of every moving piece. However, setting aside a table or room for event staff to access with all sorts of disinfectant supplies (hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray) would ensure smooth and immediate access – not to mention making the client feel at ease!
4: Set boundaries
Sometimes, it’s hard for people to imagine what being six-feet apart looks like. In any situation where there may be lines or a crowd, place signs or lines of tape on the ground to let people know that’s how far away they should be from the person in front of them!
5: Disinfect Constantly
It may be tedious, but showing a conscientious effort of disinfecting items that come in contact with crowds of clients, will give peace to your clients! Seeing staff actively sanitize areas that are high-contact to ensure client safety will go a long way with making positive impressions!
